I mean for Biology let's say we have Gen. Bio 101 and 102 (so it's Biology for the entire year). So is there like a Expository Writing 101 and 102? Or does it just stop with Expository Writing 101? Also if there is a second semester of Expos. do they use the same textbook all year round (I think it's called the New Humanities Reader 3rd Edition?).

You are REQUIRED to take Expository Writing 101. It’s a semester course, not a full year. You do not have to take part two of Expository Writing (I believe the class is called research in disciplines, with several sections pertaining to specific topics), but you do need to take one more writing class to fulfill the SAS requirement.

You’ll find that there are other classes that fulfill the second writing requirement that might be less intense than expos. Use degree navigator to see a listing of courses that fulfill the requirement.

no you don’t use the same book. depending on the class, you might not even need a book. my class didn’t need a book, all the stories were print outs from sakai.

what is the easiest expository 201 class to take?

Principles of Literary theory 219 (if you don’t mind poems)

OR

Intro to mythology (something like that). People say it’s easy. I didn’t take it, but I’ll take their word for it =

Most kids take Research in Discipline classes, but I think it’s basically expos II, but with a specific topic. So like the same amount of writing, which I definitely did not want to deal with, especially with me being an English major and having other writing courses.
