I will have my final on 2/6 and I'm sure I will get A so I want to update it. That class is my Prereq.

No. The deadline for the update is the 31st of January.

Yes, you can keep updating your planned and in progress courses past the January 31st priority TAU deadline. However, you’re supposed to report your Fall 2011 grades by that point. The purpose for your TAU is really to allow them to evaluate your progress in your courses from Fall which they need to factor into your overall UC transferable GPA. Any classes reported after that cannot improve your chances for admission, they can only hurt them if you have missing pre-reqs/IGETC requirements that are reported in winter/spring. Basically, the A you got into your winter course isn’t going to be factored into your GPA, but if you didn’t report that you are taking or planned to take the class, they could reject you for not having completed all of the required pre-requisite courses.

I want to update my statistics class i just completed for winter. It’s the required math class to transfer… should i not update?

dilapidatedmind is correct. You can update your application. However like he said, the point of it is to inform the UC’s of your Fall grades because anything updated after the 31st of January is not guaranteed consideration. Meaning that it doesn’t matter. Winter and spring aren’t a factor for admission and completion will be confirmed via transcript.

You can update it if you want. But as long as you wrote on the TAU that you would complete the stats course, then you’re good to go. Whatever grade you got however most likely won’t count.

thanks i will not be updating my application then.
