is there a way to get a SINGLE?

The majority of students in Wada and the mini suites are transfer students. If you like the industrial look you'd probably like it in Wada.

I think the greatest benefit of living in an apartment style dorm is if your roommates want to party and you need to study they can go into the common area. It's easier to compromise on privacy and sleep conflicts.

being an RA saves you a lot of money on rent. however, you give up a portion of your life to fulfill the various duties, and if you happen to get a bad supervisor or one will a bad attitude, you will get a lot of crap.

also, when you go to parties you will be branded as the stuckup RA will wrote up this and that person.

I was thinking of doing that, but being a procrastinator, didn't get an app in in time. Ok, so a friend of mine's been talking about Channing Bowditch and I haven't been there yet, but was wondering if anyone here lives/lived there and if so, what it's like. Is it safe? Is getting a single hard?

go to youtube and see if anyone has any vids of their dorm room up. everyone seems to like to put up clips of them walking around and showing the audience their dorm room. (maybe for parents back at home???)

anyways, if i had (HAD) to be an RA (for financial reasons or otherwise), i would at least prefer to be one for wada or any other the other "upperclassmen" halls. :)

@beatchick: are you a potential transfer?

2nd semester Freshman looking at other options, if not next year, the year after.

I have friends living at Channing Bowditch. Extremely expensive ($850+ per PERSON). However, you get once a week cleaning by a maid and unlimited toilet paper. Singles are very difficult to get (and costs close to $1k/month).

People may argue the price is still less than what the dorms cost, but if you were to use the same amount of money elsewhere, you could get a super nice apt with that price).

man, i would totally love to find some $850/mo room up the hill so that i could stay during the summer. of course, i'm looking ahead too. like, way ahead.
