From what I heard (I could be wrong) only half the students admitted to Cal Poly actually go there. If you’re not waitlisted (if Cal Poly actually waitlists), is there any chance that they will reconsider your application and accept you before school starts to fill in those empty spots?

I would have to say no... The stats from last year show about twice as many accepted as attend. I think they "over admit" knowing many will turn them down. I think summer session makes up for the number of people that a college (Ag, Eng. etc) may be low on. I don't know what they would do if everyone they admitted chose to go... ;-)

It would be interesting to know if some people are still hanging out to hear one way or another. At this point, I would have to say that if you hadn't heard by now, you might be a computer glitch and you should call admissions. The point of holding summer apps out to April 1 was to let people try to reapply for summer, and if they didn't tell you if you were in or out, how could you take advantage of that situation?

The admissions site says they do not waitlist, but I guess there is always hope. Anybody find out in the last week if they were in? Other than ARCH, and ART which are in a whole different admissions schedule...
