Is there any chance of switching to Ib diploma

Im currently studying in an Ib school and take 5 ib classes

Physics HL
Computer Science HL
Economics SL
English SL
Thai SL
AP calculus

I chose this because I thought I was going to take AP exams in corresponding classes eg, AP Physics C, AP Micro/Macro Economics, AP Computer Science. Also, I didn't aware that there are "predicted grades" which can be used to show colleges. However, I just realized that this is such a waste of time since these classes(IB and AP) are not completely overlap and to study for APs require a lot of self study. It is already hard to maintain good grades in IB classes, adding time to study for APs might worsen my GPA. So I want to ask that is there any way I can do to have 6 Ib classes, for that they can be converted to predicted score (out of 42). I mean, I can sacrifice anything to do IB diploma right now, is there anything I can do to make up like do it during summer?

Thanks for answering this post.

I’m not sure. You will need to ask the IB councelor/representative in your school this question.

You could also try reposting your thread here: [International Baccalaureate (IB) - College Confidential](International Baccalaureate (IB) - College Confidential Forums)
I’m sure there’s someone there who can help you more efficientely.

Just to clarify your question: are you asking if you can switch into the full IB Diplima program at this point? You’ll have to talk to your own school about that. We can’t help you here.

Well yes I am on my break right now and I am trying to find anyone who had done or heard of people switching to IB diploma at this time of the year before. So that I might use it as an example to talk/negotiate with my counselor.

Whether someone at a different school in quite possibly a very different part of the world was able to switch into or out of the Diploma program is immaterial. The only thing that matters is whether or not it is possible at YOUR school. Go see the person responsible for the IB program at your school, and tell them that after due consideration, you realize that you want to pursue the full diploma.
