I will be a senior next year in high school. I am a full IB student. However, next year I may have to move school and that new school does not have the IB program just AP. Is it worth to switch to AP even though I am doing full IB now?
Do you have to move to the new school? If so, it doesn’t sound like you have an option, other than to not take higher-level classes. Obviously, in terms of college admissions, a counselor won’t hold it against you for dropping IB since the new school doesn’t offer it. Just replace it with equivalent AP courses.
I agree…see if there is any way you can continue the IB program.
If not, just take AP courses. They can be taken individually without being in a whole “program”. Take the AP tests at the end of the year and if your scores are high enough you can get credit for college classes.
