Hi there, I am stupid (I did horrible in Freshmen, Sophomore, and half of Junior Year, im on my 2nd term and I plan on pushing to a 4.0 for this term and all of Senior Year)
In freshmen year I scored 3.0 GPA (84 Overall)
Sophmore year 2.0 GPA (74 Overall)
1st term Junior Year 2.6 GPA (79)
If I score 2.2k on SAT and get a 4.0 for the rest of the term AND do 100 hours of Community Service, Online College Courses at Straighterline.com, Summer Internship for Medical studies, Extracurricular Activities, apply for Advance Placement will I get into a good college?
P.S: What's a good Baccalaureate Degree for someone going into Med School?
P.S.S: I scored bad because I was planning on going to Music School, I specialize in Musical Composition and Piano. Will this help me get into any college?
P.S.S.S: If I missed anything out to help me get into a great college then let me know :)

These college courses at Straighter Line give me 3 credits each, I was planning on doing 4.

Of course there’s hope left but, that’s a big ‘what if’.

Honestly, one semester of great grades won’t make up for the rest of your record. Most college applications are due before you get your mid Sr year grades so, they won’t do you much good. Do your best on the SAT/ACT, nail the next semester and see where you stand.

Assuming you passed (C or better) all the required courses and have a decent SAT/ACT, there are plenty of colleges you will be eligible for.

Unless you need them to graduate, don’t worry about service hours, college courses and other distrations. I think I’d focus on getting good grades in the courses you’ve got. See if you can pull a 3.5 GPA this semester. Make that your proirity, it would be a HUGE improvement and show real resolve.

You’ve got to think about why your grades are what they are… It doesn’t sound like you feel you have you worked to your capacity. Think about why that is and if you’d be capable of managing a full time courseload away from home. You might be best served at a CC while you develop a sense of purpose and a stronger academic track record.

Good luck.

theres always hope work hard to achieve a high sat also think about giving sat II and keep a high gap universities also like an upward trend

Are any good, affordable colleges near home?

Always hope left. Try to look for In-state colleges because they are cheaper and instate students have better chances

@Ncalrent Thanks for the tips, unfortunately; the community colleges near me are no-good. I’m sure I am able to reach 90-95’s. Teachers in my school expect very little of students since I’m in a zoned school (Mostly where all those pothead swag fags go to). 50% of the people graduate on time. Does the high school you go to vary on college admissions? Mine is horrible. About the GPA though, the highest GPA possible in this state i’m able to receive is 3.3, @Student2727 Yeah i’m trying. I’m taking it twice, I plan on getting 2.1k, if I get 2.1k on first try, I’ll aim for 2.3k or perfect score the second @Catria No. Community Colleges only. @MBenz23 Yes, I’m going to Upstate New York Colleges, and if all else fails, i’ll try Penn State University.
