hello all. id like to go to medical school.ive failed alot of classes throughout my HS career due to me missing school alot from illness. my school district sucks, even though i scored high on end year exams without even going to class they refused to work with me so I could avoid getting the f's. im screwed. ive retaken a majority of them and have received all a's or b's. i will be technically be a senior next year but by credits im still a sophomore.i do no want to even look at my gpa i have no idea what it is. do i have a chance at any school? are there any forgiving universities? this has caused me major depression & some days i basically feel like my life is over and ill be working at some fast food place for the rest of my life.

No your life is definitely not over. If what you say is true, then you are definitely a bright student. You can definitely get into medical school. I realise it has been difficult for you, but dont lose heart, you have got through that and you will get through this too. Lol, You aint gonna be working at a fast food center, dont worry. You just need to do a few things, Get your SATs real high. You seem to be good at test taking, it will definitely help you with your SATs. Get them into 2100-2200 category. There are all levels of universities and so all kinds of students can get accepted. You would also need to explain your case in your essay. Make the essay extremely good. Coupled that with stellar SAT scores that should help you. Also have a look at your GPA, it might not be as bad as you think. You say, your a sophomore, credit-wise. This means you also have 2 years to cover up for that. Make close contacts with your teachers. Maybe they could also explain your health reasons in their recommendations. You could definitely get into medical school, if you do this right. Dont worry, work hard and things will fall into place.
