I don't wanna have to wait for a letter! How long does it take for a letter to come, anyway?!

Thanks!!!!!!!!

I don't wanna have to wait for a letter! How long does it take for a letter to come, anyway?!

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Well, you're gonna have to wait like the rest of us :( Decisions should be out on or before April 1st.

So, like, the letter will come on April 1st, mayhaps?

For your own good, do not antagonize over the letters too much! If you look back, we had many, many anxious Early Action people expecting letters for about a week, and the whole thing ended with most of us getting our letters on the report date listed on the website, December 15th. If they do RD anything like EA, the office will send letters out a few days before April 1st. Some people will, obviously, get them a day or two before April 1st, but the majority of the country will get them on that day. Does possibly getting your decision on April Fools' Day give you weird feelings?

Haha here we go again with the total obsession of the exact date of notice! I was accepted EA, but I was wondering the same thing. The results were sent a few days before the official day of getting letters (December 15th), I think they were sent that Thursday before, if I remember correctly (the 11th). Some people did indeed get an answer as early as Friday or Saturday, so it really depends.

Also, know that nothing is definite; several of my New Jersey friends (at the same school that I go to that live within maybe 20-30 minutes of my house) got their answer on Saturday, but I found out on Monday. So it's really up in the air.

What does the envelope look like, if you are accepted?

plain white with the Georgetown seal in the upper left corner. Three pieces of paper inside

gtwnlvr016...

just curious, how did you know that?

I have a friend who was accepted EA :)

Thin envelope or thick? Heh.

you can't really tell the thickness because the acceptance envelope has only 1 more sheet than the rejection (info sheet). It might appear slightly thicker in that it might be more puffy from the additional folded page but the best way of differentiating between the two results is opening the darn thing! ;)
