I thought I would be able to get one at either UC Davis or UCSB but it turns out I didn't for Davis and I haven't heard anything about one from UCSB. Do I still have a chance?

(stats if anyone is wondering: 4.2 UC GPA (3.85uw/4.6w) 2320 (1600 M+CR, 720W) 3 5s and 2 4s on AP tests, etc)

I think it’s too late for UCSB. My kid was offered a UCSB Regents $6000 a year, no essay needed, with formal notification of acceptance to be on 3/19. They sent the packet by mail 3 weeks ago, and then they sent an email reminder a few days ago. There were some events a week or so ago. 4.0 uw most rigorous school/curriculum/ significantly higher SAT. Also, awhile back received invitation to apply for Regents from UCLA and an invitation to apply for a scholarship for UCB. (Admitted early to an Ivy and elsewhere, which were the top choices.)

My kid’s friend was just denied by Davis, admitted by a much more prestigious college, ranked in the top 5. Go figure.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you get a financial package even before acceptance? Is it too late for us since our son hasn’t heard from them yet??
