I just got an email from UChicago’s financial aid department telling me that they never recieved 1 of my financial aid documents. Could this mean that I am being seriously considered for acceptance and that I have a good shot of getting in? I cannot imagine that they process the financial aid forms of each applicant regardless of whether or not they will be accepted. It seems like that would be a tremendous waste of time. Thoughts?
No.
They do, indeed, process the FA paperwork for all applicants.
This does not mean anything. Every college that releases FA packages around the same time as admission decisions processes every applicant’s FA paperwork.
I wish it did. I got that email too.
So sorry, but you are being given good advise. It does not mean an acceptance is definitely on its way. Hang in there.
