I am currently a high school freshmen, and I have been seriously wondering whether my GPA is competitive…
Here are the stats:
Honors English: A-
Honors Chinese: A
Honors Geometry: A+
Asian History: A
Honors Physics: A
PE: A+
Photography: A+
Your grades are fine. Don’t worry about it.
Um, they’re all A’s, A+ and A-.
Yeah, all As is excellent. There is no need to be worried. Not only that, you’re in a lot of honors courses!

You can take the pre-med track in college regardless of high school grades, but having all As tells me you study hard, meaning you’ll make a good pre-med student. Don’t stress about your grades too much during your freshman year, but keep up the good work and get all As for the rest of high school!

Imagine all the colleges in the USA lined-up side-by-side on the horizon. Consider as long as you have As, you have access to all of them. The first B causes the ones at the edges to fall out of your view, another B eliminates a few more, then comes the dreaded C and the list is cut by hundreds more, and so on.
This example is oversimplified and there’s a few lesser factors involved, as well, but there is a HUGE correlation between your HS grades and the colleges willing to accept you. Also, be sure to get some formal training preparation for the SAT and ACT exams, taking each multiple times if necessary to land an acceptable score.
