Grades in Freshman Year

I understand that I still have a lot of time to bring up my high school cumalative grade, but how would you say I’m doing so far.

Biology Honors - 96 %

Algebra 2 Honors- 84%

English Honors - 96%

AP Human Geography - 96%

Chinese -99%

Religion - 99%

Take into account, this is after only the first semester. So my worst grade is a 84 which is a B- at my school, and the class is very difficult. Is there any suggestions you have for getting my Algebra 2 honors grade up, and do you think the math grade drags down my good progress inother classes.

You’re doing great. Whether or not the math grade is problematic or not depends entirely on your personal goals and aspirations. Being young, those goals and aspirations could change at any time.

You are doing fine. With that said, life is a bit of a game and it pays to understand the rules of the game that you are playing.

For most schools that report using letter grades, your scores so far would be:

Biology Honors - A

Algebra 2 Honors- B(-?)

English Honors - A

AP Human Geography - A

Chinese - A

Religion - A

Now if you chose on a go forward basis to spend more time on Algebra and less on the others and had you scores fall to 94% in each class, you would have A’s across the board. This despite your total average dropping for all classed from a 95 to a 94.

Thanks for posting that so I didn’t have to @Groundwork2022

Just ssying: CC isn’t fond of posts bemoaning a 95 cum gpa. I’ll bet you know how to bring up the math grade.
