Community College preparing to transfer to a UC currently my GPA is 3.083 and by end of summer should be a 3.14 (realistically) if I got 2 A's this summer it'd be a 3.24, but realistically I think a 3.14 for after the summer cumulative. The classes above are for fall. And I'll be working.

I am not sure if anyone can really answer this question for you. Difficult for me, or anyone else, might not be difficult for you. Also, are you working as well? Do you have kids or a family? Is school your only commitment? If you are already a 3.0 student do you struggle with study habits?..Generic answer No, not too difficult.

Working, bad study habits, only recently got up to a 3.083 GPA, no kids that I know of haha, have a ton of stuff going on (traffic court in 3 courthouses) and other stuff, just asking in general if its a hard course load

Keep in mind that those are all classes that are likely to have a LOT of reading. You’re likely going to be doing hundreds of pages of reading every week.

Beyond that though, I don’t think it would be too bad.

The only course that might give you trouble would be the bio anthro course but not really. The rest are all pretty much gpa filler courses that just requires you to cram/read and memorize (w/ HIST being the prime example of pure memorizing).

And at this point even 2 B’s could set me back most likely 3 B’s but I really need A’s to bump up my GPA.

I’m not very good at just sitting down and reading through endless pages on a subject though it gets boring after the first 4 pages in textbooks and my mind tends to wander :/

I’ve taken six courses before in one semester. It was during the 2012 Spring. It was 19-Units

I took:

English Composition - B (Should have been an A)
Microeconomics - A
College Geometry - B (Had to work my way up to Calculus II, which I did. Ended up earning an A in both my Calculus courses)
Intro to Sociology - A
Career Explor/Life Planning - B (some guidance class I had to take to be in this program. Should have been an A, too -__-)
Intro to the Theater - A

I believe you can handle your course-load but do be aware that your life will be just school during that semester and it might end up with you getting little sleep. Your courses may not be hard, but they will be time consuming, I think. This also depends on your professors. If you lack commitment, don’t do it. If you slack once, you will most likely not be able to catch up with your course-work. Never put anything off and if you can, do everything early. Good luck.

@matt4200 By gpa filler I meant credit filler + gpa buffer, wasn’t clear on that sorry haha. They’re often used to either fill up full-time credit minimums or used as a gpa buffer (what I did) I took about 15 semester units w/ two of them as sciences (E&M + environ bio) and the rest were filled up with philo, thart, poli sci, etc. The work load was pretty much just busy work for the fillers with the blunt of the work coming from E&M. I got all A’s except for philo mainly because of the test questions being inconsistent (there were science logic questions that didn’t follow the laws of physics/known facts, I don’t know why he put them there…) and I ended up with a 88% -__-.

You’ll do fine as long as you can commit to it, just concentrate on the main subjects of the class/follow study guides. But you can always remove one of the classes if you want to ease into a higher coarse load.

I had a 21 unit workload before. (semester units)

C++ (4) A
Multi Var Calc (5) A
Physics Eletr & Mag (4) A
Physics Lab (1) A
Engineering Prop of Mat (3) A
English Crit Thinking & Comp (3) A
Sci Eng Acd Skills (0.5) P
STEM Int (0.5) P
