Is this a EC?

So I'm Catholic & I am doing my confirmation this year (yes I know I'm late).
& in order for you to do your confirmation you have to complete 2 years of church classes (once a week & you're tested as well) , so for the past 2 years this has been taking up my saturdays

since I'm learning and being an active member in my church, I was wondering if i can put this down as an extra curricular ?

Sure, you can put it down.

It is indeed an EC.

Thanks for posting this.

I am also going through my Confirmation and was wondering the same thing.

My kids were confirmed their freshmen year of high school. On the Common Application, S did not list it as an EC, but he did list it in the Additional Information section where he attached a sheet summarizing his high school activities. He had categories for Sports, Work, Volunteer Work, Summer Activities and Church. He wrote about his Confirmation (one year of classes, two overnight retreats, date of Confirmation, Parish, etc) under the Church section.

I’m not sure I’d put it as an EC, especially because it’s only for this increment of time. Of course, there’s nothing barring you from putting it down. I’d just consider exactly what purpose it serves in fleshing out your app.

thanks a lot, I think I’m going to add it then!
@ Campbellmom- I really like how you organized the information, I think I will do it that way.

ah I got confirmed in the 7th grade, so I didn’t put anything down.
