For starters, I already know that I want to go to Law School! Does anyone think that a Double Major in Finance & Philosophy will be good prep for Law School & the LSAT?
I want to Major in Philosophy because it puts an emphasis on Reading, Writing, & Discussion! I’m considering the Finance Major because I think it would be good to have as an Attorney or just to fall back on! They both interest me… Math will be my biggest obstacle if I choose to do this. Thanks for any opinions in advance!
Its more about what you like, law school has no pre determined path, personally I am a management and political science mainly because I like those majors, I will be attending law school as well, political science, philosophy classes r meant to teach critical thinking skills mainly because thats what the LSAT is, law schools care bout the lsat and your gpa, ik engineers, and science majors who went to law school, they scored great got good lsats and bolm they were im, pick something you like make sure you get ur gpa, for the lsat youll have to study anyways its not a test you can wing and hope to pass. I hope this helps.
Thanks for a quick response
Yh np I currently work at a law firm while in undergrad I do a lot of the paper work prep, writing commitments, extensions and such and while writing and reading help, its all about your interest , I picked up on a lot of stuff very quickly a lot of forms are the same, mainly changing names and attorneys, im sure itll get more specific but I cant negotiate contracts until I get my law degree so as a poly science I like knowing the politics of business in this world, and thats why I also picked management.
What you major in does not matter. Perfect grammar and very careful reading and writing skills are critical in law school and law practice in particular, so be sure to learn those.
