Is this a good schedule (Junior Year)

Alright so I’m gonna be a junior next year and I’m planning on taking these classes:

US History
Intro to Business/Tech
AP Environmental Science
Algebra 2
Visual Arts
AP Computer Science
American Lit

Is this a good courseload? I took AP world this year but had to drop to honors because it was really hard, but I also took AP Psychology and it was really easy. What do you guys think?

How much foreign Language have you completed? While most high schools will let you graduate with two years of it, many good colleges/universities require *or strongly prefer three or four years. Do you know which colleges you will apply to yet? Find our their expectations. If a school says three or four years is what they PREFER, assume that it is a requirement.

If I were you, I would take foreign language instead of visual arts or Business/Tech. If you do plan to get a business degree, BTW, being proficient in FL is an asset. Also, if you don’t pass a proficiency exam in a FL when you enter college, you will likely have to take language courses IN college, where it is harder and moves much faster.

@inthegarden

yea i know this is what a lot of people tell me, but honestly i took two years of a foreign language and didn’t really like it or do really well. and i already know another language pretty well so i should be good. the college i wanna go to says the only want 2 consecutive years, so i should be good honestly.

Is there another school or two that you like that only requires two years to apply to (and can afford)? These days, better safe than sorry… it’s good to have choices when the time comes.

@inthegarden

Yes there is a couple other schools that I could go to

WHat sciences have you taken? It is generally best if you take Bio, Chem and Physics during HS.
