Is this a good senior year schedule?

Plan on double majoring in neuroscience and psychology or going into Pre-Med. Senior Year courses are as follow:

AP Psychology
Business Info Management (required)
AP Biology II
AP Statistics
AP English IV
Symphony Orchestra
Off-Campus (last term only)

Thoughts?

Looks fine, for the vast majority of schools.

How about for the Ivy Leagues and Rice?

I mean, it could be better, but it’s acceptable. Have you taken AP Calculus or AP Chem?

No, because my schedule won’t allow it since orchestra is the full year. It wasn’t possible last year either. I go to a school with block scheduling and am involved in orchestra, so taking a bunch of AP classes is harder - like this year I only had room for two AP’s - USH and Language.

Why not remove Stat in favor of Calculus? And remove Bio in favor or AP Chemistry? Your call.

If I take Calc, I’ll only be able to take AB, not BC. Plus, since I’m most likely going into research, my math teacher said Stat was the way to go. As for AP Chem, I’m more interested in AP Bio. When I took PAP Bio as a Freshmen, it just “spoke” more to me than when I took PAP Chemistry as a Sophomore.

Stats may be more relevent to your branch of research, but either AP Calc course will be more impressive to colleges. Just saying. If you’re not a heavy math person or are really interested in stats, feel free to take it. Still rigorous and an AP math, so that’s definitely good, just not quite as good as Stats!

Bio and Chem are probably viewed pretty similarly to colleges, so taking AP Bio is fine. I was asking about AP Chem to suggest you take it AND Bio, but if you can only take one, and like Bio more, that’s fine as well.

I’m not a heavy math person at all, lol. I could drop AP Psych for AP Bio, but the way my school works, all the science classes have the same exact due dates, meaning complete torture for a semester. Plus, that would mean no AP Psych, which I’m really interested in.

Thank-you for your suggestions, Pancaked! :D
