I’m really confused…
Can I write about how I have a big family in another country (Like grandparents, cousins, etc)? Or does it have to be solely your “own” family (Parents)?
If you spent enough time with that big family for it to shape you then yes if you only know of them or head anecdotes then no
Is that for Tufts?? In my opinion it doesn’t even have to be about your family. You could talk about how living in a different area of town compared to other students (out in the woods vs suburbs neighborhood vs inner city) affected you. Maybe you could write about the dynamic of your home. If you lived among your big family for long periods of time that you would consider it the place you were raised, I suppose you could write about that.
Or if you spent equal amounts of time with your big family overseas and at your home here, maybe you could even compare how both influences shaped your upbringing.
