Majoring in a field within the Hebrew and Judaic Studies department? Anyone know? And does anyone on here think it gives a student an edge in admissions? Thanks in advance.

According to Yale's Office of Institutional Research, in 2006-07, their were 2 people majoring in Judaic Studies. Don't know if it gives you an edge since colleges realize that majors more likely than not will change from what is stated on application.

Intended major indication won't help you in admissions according to admissions officers' presentations. Nice area of study, however!

Thanks for the reply. Wow two students? Thats pretty weird they still have it offered.

Admissions officers are completely aware that majors change, and I am also sure that they are aware that a few students put such non-popular majors on their apps to try and boost their apps.

But if it is what you're interested in, I think that's awesome! :)
