Is this borderline inappropriate?

For University of Richmond, we're asked to write about an experience in which we stepped out of our comfort zone, and how it changed us.

I would write about a dance class that I took which REALLY pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it's what my Common App essay is on, and this essay is being submitted in addition to the regular Common App one.
Last year, I was essentially tricked (long story) into wearing a bikini in front of my entire school for a fashion show fundraiser. Would talking about this (and how it's made me more confident, made little things like public speaking seem easier, etc., etc.) be borderline inappropriate? I don't want the admissions officer to think I'm some skanky mama strutting around in bathing suits, or that my school is really weird and allows that kind of stuff to happen. I think I could write a pretty funny and well-constructed essay on it, but is it just too risky?

HONEST opinions please! I haven't started writing this yet, nor is my heart set on the topic. Just thinking and wanting your opinions. Thank you!

Umm think if you made it seem like it was a really good reason and if you were apprehensive about it at first, then it should be good. But then again, they want you to be a leader. I'm sure it can't hurt. Just convey it well. The adcoms arent some uptight dorks without senses of humor. You'll be fine

It could work. I don't think it's necessarily too risky. Also, I'm sending you a PM.
