Do you think this is possible?

A biology major and a French minor, while managing all my pre-med stuff? or do most pre-meds not even choose a minor?

Seems perfectly doable. Especially since your major is a science. I know a few kids who did bio or chem with a spanish minor who are premed.

Is the workload really hard?

think it would depend on your school, your aptitiude and your interests. If foreign language comes easily for you, I don't think it would be too much. Most all of the premed prerequisites are covered by your bio major I believe (at my S.'s school a bio major also needs 3 chem courses, 2 physics courses and 1 math or physical science, plus the 34 hours of bio.

French is a second-nature subject for me and I love Bio but our teacher has some problems grading. He grades extrememly low. I have an A but its 94% and an A is 93%. So I'm on the edge.

God forbid, I don't get into med school. Would a Biology major and a French minor get me a job somewhere or not?

Thanks again for your help.

if not a job u can end up in grad school....

it sounds from your other posts that you are still in HS...it doesnt really matter how you are doing in HS really unless we are talking about college level bio (IB or A levels) which I am sure we are not. And even then it would only help you with first year of bio really. Also, if you are good at french it shouldnt be a problem at all and being pre-med wont add anything to your courseload since bio major includes almost all premed courses at almost all schools.

Thanks for your help.

I'm really too excited to go to grad school, because my passion is to be a doctor so I was hoping to get a job for a year and maybe get some money. Then go to med school and succeed.
