Is this possible?

Hey guys, I'm a high school senior right now and I'm really hopin to get into Berkeley in a few weeks. I'm trying to think about the four years ahead of me and trying to plan em.

I'm gonna try to get into Haas, and assuming I get in, I'll be majoring in Business.

Also, I want to double major in Japanese as well, and I'm looking to study abroad for a year at Tokyo U, Keio U or Waseda.

I'm not really familiar with the credit system here and I understand that there is a cap on the amount of credits you can get or something so I was wondering if it is still possible to do this especially since Haas starts from junior year.

bump…please?

Seems possible because Japanese only has 3 lower div requirements. You can take as many unit as you want. You just have to graduate in 9 semesters

yes, its definitely possible to double major with business admin, but you need to start your planning earlier, because there are more classes you need to take

Those are the lower div prereqs. Now plan em out for each year. It’s definitely possible, but it’ll just be more work that you’ll have to do. If this is your interest, go for it.

A Japanese major (or even a Japanese minor) would be very useful in the business world; the more people you can communicate with the better, I’d say go for it.

Thanks.
I have another question though.
When would it be possible for me to study abroad?

Yes, I do believe that if you plan well enough you will be able to manage to study abroad. I’ve heard somewhat often that is it difficult to study abroad if you are in Haas, but I know several people who have done it, so it certainly isn’t impossible. I’m sure if you plan well and work hard you will indeed be able to double major and study abroad in Haas.
