Is this really true????

Okay so I have been on some random NYU forum lately where admission officers reply to threads. One question was pertaining to the SAT 2 subject tests vs. the SAT
The admission board posted that you have a choice of either submitting 3 sat 2 or 1 SAT

Is this true????
If so can you please provide a link that explains this further??

I want to attend CAS for pre-med!

Thank you I'm in shock lol

They have new testing requirements.

You are required to submit only one of the following:
-SAT Reasoning Test
-ACT with Writing
-3 SAT Subject Tests
-3(I think…) AP Test Scores

Check the NYU Website under undergrad admissions-they should have a box along the side of the page concerning standardized test scores.

Really wow that is great!!!

So if I were to hand in 3 sat subject tests I would not be “penalized” for not taking the regular SAT?

Thank you!

But you should be aware that you are expected to do well above average on those tests, the same goes for the APs. They are supposed to show a strong understanding of each subject so try for above 700 which isn’t hard if you know the material. They are easier to study for though because the topics covered are exactly what you find in the study books. They’re also requirements that you take at least one humanities (English, history, etc) test and one science (math, biology, etc). Good luck

Wow that sounds to good to be true because I have been so stressed out about having to take 3 sat 2 tests plus the actual SAT but yeah I agree that I have to score high on the SAT 2s and I am taking the SAT2 bio this October so that is a start!

Again thank you for your input=)
