Is this SAT score okay for HYPSM & Ivy Leagues?

*Not superscore but for in just one sitting: is this SAT score okay for HYPSM and Ivy League colleges?

Ethnicity: Asian (Chinese)
Math - 780-800
Critical Reading - 720-730
Writing - 740-760

I think you’re set. If you have the EC and GPA to go along with your scores. If only your CR score is the same as your Writing score

Those are great scores, but just remember that scores won’t carry you into the Ivies.

So pretty much I should not retake it after getting such scores and just focus on my EC’s and essays?

Yeah I’d say focus on great essays, a great GPA, and a successful senior year! Best of luck!

There is no “okay” score threshold. Your scores are perfectly respectable, but if you can raise them by 40+ points, you should retake. Why? Because your chances of getting into a top school increase with your scores.

that’s better than my score… but my big bro, who had already graduated from college said it’s not worth retaking a 2260 (mine) because it wouldn’t really help, unless i can get some ridic high score like 2350+

Oh lol I see.

Man, I’m going to be really ****ed if I get a 2290 based on the fact that I was just that close to a 2300 >_>

The 75th percentile, where you want to be If you don’t have a hook, is 780/790 per section. A 730CR is below median, and median includes the half of the class with hooks.
