So basically I'm making a pretty big leap in classes next year.
I took 2 APs and a few honors classes and got straight A's this year. Next year is my senior year and I want to stack up, but I don't want to get to a point where it is causing my grades to drop.
Here it is:
AP Lit.
AP Gov/Politics
AP Comparative Gov/Politics
AP Statistics
AP Chem
Honors Physiology

Is this too much in your opinion? I have a 4.8 GPA and I want to maintain it while stacking up on AP's. Can you rank the classes based on your individual experiences? Thanks.

I wouldn’t say it’s too much, although with the increase in APs it could cause some long nights and tired days.

Chem- usually hard, although depends on how much time you can dedicate to it/aptitude
Lit- lots of reading, can be difficult
Stats- easy
Gov- have no clue, would assume medium difficulty

Thanks a lot! My main concern isn’t balancing the workload, as I’m pretty good with handling that business - even if it requires of me to stay up at night. My main concern is not being able to maintain an above 3.5 unweighted and above 4.5 weighted GPA. You think that’s pretty manageable with those courses or is it mainly dependent upon my teacher/school?
And watch out for the Lakers next year - gonna come back big time.

I don’t wanna guarantee anything about grades, but if you can handle the work and do the work, the grades should be fine, and >3.5 unweighted should be attainable. However, as you mentioned, it will depend on teachers/school. Some schools will have grade inflation and easier AP classes…

Alright I appreciate your help. Hopefully this all works out. Worst case I’ll drop AP Comparative after the first week of school if I see it’s unmanageable.
