I am hoping to keep the same trend I have had throughout my entire school career and get nothing below a 95. I believe I can do as I have been doing college level work since I was 4 (some of my mom's classes). I don't have many AP classes available and I refuse to take classes that I have no interest in unless required. I feel it would be a waste of credits.

ECs:
Editor on Wattpad (my biggest passion)
Volunteer at (I can't remember the name right now, it is too late at night but the places where you cook and serve food to the poor)
Volunteer at Animal Shelter
Debate Club
Poetry Publishing
Duke TIP
University Precollege programs

Thank you for anyone who actually read. I really would love your advice on these things. I know I am young but we are visiting colleges next summer while we are up north and I want to look at realistic schools too. If it helps, I plan on majoring in English Literature and Computer Science as a future book editor.

Add a few ECs that show both your passion and leadership/competition. Also, why are you taking both AB and BC calc? BC includes everything you learn in AB. And how can you take two Spanish classes in the same year? Is each a semester, or are you learning both at the same time? I would suggest skipping a Spanish class over summer rather than trying to take both at the same time. Otherwise, you seem to be on the road to great colleges. Reminder to get better ECs. Good luck!

Academically you’re on the right track for top tier schools. Try to get a 2200+/32+ on your tests and youll have an even better chance. Your ECs are good but try to pick up a few leadership positions.

@Catria My ACT (7th grade) was a 22. My ACT PLAN (8th grade) was a 31 with a predicted 34 ACT. @Woandering I am taking both AB and BC because that is the way my high school is set up. You have to take AB before BC. As far as the Spanish classes go, our classes are semester based. 4 classes per semester.
To everyone: Those are my passions. Books. That is my passion. Books and arguing. My poems have been published 5 times (so far) and I am to get published at least once a year throughout high school, but I got published via competing against thousands of other poets. I also live in a very small school so trying to get many ECs is hard. I will, however, try.

Thank you guys for your input and opinions.

Not sure how old you are, but you could do some internships for publishing companies, or compile short stories from advanced students who are interested in writing. This gives you a little entrepreneurial spirit schools may like to say. Just suggestions, good luck!

@Woandering I am a freshman (15 this month). I hope I can do things like that, especially the internships but I am unsure. The closest publishing company is 1.5 hours away and they only publish 4 books a year. I guess we’ll see next summer when I am 16 and more able to. Thanks!

Either way, don’t waste your summers. I’m a Sophomore now, and I find myself unable to attend many summer programs I could have if I started during Freshman year.
