Is this too tacky?

With the little money I have, I went to the local wal-mart and bought 94 cent cards that say "Thank you very much" on the front and "it meant a lot." on the inside. Is this too tacky to send as a thank-you-note to a professional alumni interviewer from an Ivy League school?

Thanks! I'm mainly worried because the back clearly says USA .94, and I've been reading posts that advise using professional stationary with personalized initials on the bottom...:/

no- it is great
don't worry about being tacky- even though some people are rude enough to critizize the way they were thanked- I think it is still unfortunately uncommon enough- that your interviewer will probably be pleased for the acknowledgment of his effort.

They sound fine. Any interviewer who goes looking for the price tag of a card (and would hold the price against you) isn't really worth a thank you card, anyway.

definitely write a line or two on the inside

It is always nice to receive a thank you card (doesn't matter the price). I agree with bluebayou, write a few lines to personalize it.

Thank you all so much for your help. I'm going to use the card and personalize it with a few lines. Thanks again!
