<p>I study at Santa Monica Community College. I took discrete mathematics (Math 10) and got a C. However this course was not needed for UCLA (major math). Does the grade of that course affect my GPA, despite not actually needing it to get transferred? </p>
<p>As long as it articulates to the UC, which I assume it does, you will get credit and it will calculate into your GPA. There’s an articulation page up there on assist for SMC that will show all the courses that transfer units over. It’s always a little hard to find, but it’s there.</p>
