Hello! I’m an international boarding student and I was sent abroad because of family issues in September. I’ve been bullied and isolated because I don’t talk, and I haven’t fully caught up with school work because of online learning. Because of the pandemic, I applied for an IB school in my home country and got accepted, my dad has seen my multiple breakdowns and bad academic progress and has allowed me to go back as well. However, I’m aiming to go back to the UK in Sixth Form so that I can prepare for my university applications. My thought was that if I got a higher grade in my home country, I’d have a higher chance of getting into a good school during Sixth Form than if I stayed at my quite prestigious boarding school now. Do you think this is a good choice and what should I do? (Boarding one year —> local school —> Boarding again)
Go home because that is what is best for you for your mental health during the pandemic. If you can get a good education in your home country, just stay there for your last year as well. There is no reason to put yourself through another change of schools.
