<p>I got waitlisted at UCSC and I'm not sure if I'm going to be acccepted or not. Should I wait for it or should I just forget about it and accept UCR instead. I'm a Politiocal Science major btw.</p>
<p>You can’t count on a waitlist and should accept somewhere where you’re in.</p>
<p>From what I’ve heard/read, you should send in your SIR somewhere else in case you don’t get taken off of the waitlist. If you really want SC though, you might as well wait until closer to the deadline for the SIR at Riverside in case you get taken off before it needs to be sent. I think you’ll probably enjoy either school and succeed wherever you go, but if your heart is truly in SC, I wouldn’t say to give up yet, a lot of times people get taken off the waitlist after you have to have sent in the SIR because others didn’t enroll in the school and you take their spots. Whatever the case, good luck and enjoy college!</p>
