Is UM too much of a reach?

<p>Hey, I was wondering if you guys think the University of Miami would be too far of a reach for me. Here's my stats:</p>

<p>1720 (superscored) on my SAT:
560 CR, 620 M, 540 W.
3.8 GPA unweighted, 4.9 weighted.
500+ community service.
Ranking in top 5%.
Essay should be really good, at least I think so..
I plan to attempt Early Action.</p>

<p>Lots of Dual Enrollment, 1 AP class that I failed the exam. </p>

<p>I also plan to retake SAT's in October before my application is due.</p>

<p>PLEASE help!</p>

<p>Look at the Common Data Set, section C. <a href=“http://www6.miami.edu/planning-research/CDS1112.pdf[/url]”>http://www6.miami.edu/planning-research/CDS1112.pdf&lt;/a&gt; Fortunately for you, scores are weighted about the same as ECs and volunteer work. Retaking the SAT will hopefully help.</p>

<p>If you get the SAT scores up a little more then you’ll get in, but if you don’t get accepted you can always transfer. GOOD LUCK! Hope you get accepted.
