I've heard that in Texas prejudice against Aliens is very prominent and very disturbing. Is it safe to go there?

Aliens? Like from space?

If you mean Asians or non white people or non citizens, don’t worry about it. UT and Austin are very accepting of all kinds of people. You will be safe. If you get in.

Thank You! :)

+1 UT and Austin are both very accepting of students from India. Austin has a significant Indian population and is generally a tolerant and diverse community with a wide range of races, religions, and subcultures represented. In fact, a common complaint among many Austin residents is that we’re not diverse enough.

Now, I’m not going to pretend Texas has no problems with racism. There is certainly some prejudice in a state of over 26 million people. Mostly it’s the whispered behind the hand prejudice that prefers to hide in the shadows. Most of the time it is neither prominent nor disturbing, although we do have some of that as well. Hard-hearted evil is hard to eradicate, and there are some white supremacists and other hatemongers in this state. But on the whole you’ll find it to be a warm, friendly place.

Thanx a lot

Is score of 27 on the ACT enough to get into Austin for CS?
