<p>Girls are the reason why I'm not gay...lol</p>
<p>good example:
skinny jeans</p>
<p>the name implies everything. </p>
<p>the whole trend was created to flatter the rail-thin.</p>
<p>ahahah.</p>
<p>this all reminds me to back in the beginning of this year, when I realized I couldn't fit into a lot of my older jeans.</p>
<p>talk about depression.</p>
<p>lol, i m a guy (17) who's 5'8. urgh..I wish I were taller.
a little bit of fat looks good on girls, they don't need to be so skinny</p>
<p>

I prefer guys that are somewhere between 6'2 and 6'4 because it's nice to actually feel like a girl when you're out on a date (I'm 5'10)

</p>
<p>Why must a date be taller in order for a girl to "actually feel like a girl"?</p>

It's not guys that drives girls to be crazy about losing weight, it's other girls! Not as in trying to attract them, but even if you gain a few pounds other girls can be rather cruel about it.
</p>
<p>That's my thought exactly, and why I feel it's so stupid. It's an arbitrary and sometimes fatal system that is of no value but to these girls themselves, since most guys aren't into the rail thin look. Who are they doing for? For some gay Italian designer 4000 miles away?</p>

The most fashionable clothes look best on girls who are rail thin. They just fit/hang better.

<p>I think it's safe to say when most guys find a girl who can actually fill out a tight shirt or jeans a lot more beautiful than a skeleton.</p>
<p>Models have always been thought of as the epitome of beauty. Some still are....but supermodels are no longer the healthy, sexy, girls they used to be. Now, designers have figured out that the best model is the one that is nothing more than a skeleton...a clothes hanger...a blank canvas for their designs. Unfortunately, girls still think that these models should be considered beautiful. Because its common belief that model=beautiful. </p>
<p>Thats why guys have turned to actresses for beautiful women; they are naturally attracted to healthy women.
Girls have not....they still look up to their fashion icons...who live fascinating lives of luxury.<br>
This is because most girls are not aware of the reasoning behind rail-thin models:
again, Models are chosen SOLELY to enhance the clothes. In real life, its the OTHER WAY AROUND. You want your clothes to enhance YOU.
Niether girls, nor guys, seem to understand this. What guys understand that girls don't is that these models are no longer "sexy."</p>
<p>I like alamode's posts.</p>
<p>"Models are chosen SOLELY to enhance the clothes. In real life, its the OTHER WAY AROUND. You want your clothes to enhance YOU."</p>
<p>Yeah, but most models are fair in the face. I personally think that tall and skinny is beautiful. It's unfair how people think it is okay to call skinny people gross or ugly as if being overweight is better. People in America are so sensitive. Some women who are just plain overweight persuade themselves that they are "curvy" when they are in reality unhealthy. Obviously girls should eat a healthy amount and have a certain percentage of body fat, but obesity and heart disease kill ten folds more people than anorexia.</p>
<p>thnx ManUtd20Ole </p>
<p>I believe the beautiful woman is the one who is confident of herself.
If you can carry yourself well, you look sexy. </p>
<p>Personally, I think being slender, but healthy...ith muscle rather than fat, but not just skin and bones...is pretty. Height doesn't matter.</p>
<p>I think this is what girls should aspire to be...healthy and satisfied with themselves.</p>
<p>"5-2 and standing proud. =P"</p>
<p>A-MEN.</p>

<p>I think the few supermodels are the ones that are beautiful (although I do not see the great beauty in Gisele), but when I see clips of runway shows, most female models have an unpleasant androgynous look to them. BTW, catalogue models do not count b/c they tend to be more natural-looking than runway models.</p>
<p>Right now, I only care about Skinny letters and fat letters.</p>
<p>People with real anorexia don't do it to get guys. They do it because they have a valid mental disorder that needs treatment. Other people do it because they have low self-esteem, want to fit in or want attention.</p>
<p>The only supermodel types I think look absolutely gorgeous are the Victoria's Secret models. As far as I'm concerned, they pretty much have the perfect bodies. </p>
<p>Not saying there aren't gorgeous models who don't do VS, but yeah.</p>

many girls to go on insane fasts in order to drop weight.
What girls do you know?</p>
<p>thanks princessbell. it is SO easy for people to dismiss anorexia as girls just trying to emulate models or getting guys. i am a former anorexic and there were a few reasons why:
- power: if you are strong enough to control nature when you're hungry, what can't you have control over?
- punishment: i did something wrong = i didn't deserve to eat
- frustration: in moments when i felt very nervous or anxious, my body felt heavy, like it was one more thing i had to deal with. the lighter i was, i felt like i was (literally) having a weight lifted of my shoulders
- high: one girl i was talking to used to say "nothing tastes as good as hungry feels" and it's true to some extent, at times it felt like runner's high</p>
<p>so there are a lot of reasons outside of the superficial, ya know?</p>
<p>Is this topic trying to understand how girls think? Is that possible in theory?</p>
<p>

And what's the deal with tall guys always going after the tiny short girls? That's seriously one of the most irritating things ever...way more irritating than girls wanting to be skinny.
Tiny and short doesn't mean very skinny :)</p>

With spring break around the corner, this is the typical time for many girls to go on insane fasts in order to drop weight. What I don't get is that not one single guy I know is attracted to the rail thin look of a Kate Moss or Nicole Ritchie. All of my friends thought Lindsay Lohan was the hottest babe on Earth until she became a skeleton; now, nobody wants to touch her with a 10-foot pole. It's like there are all these crazy girls trying to reach the 75-lbs. mark, and all the guys are just staring in disgust. The girls see the guys' reactions, but they don't even care. Wasn't attracting guys the whole point of losing weight in the first place? Or has the media ****ed with their brains so much that it's no longer about pleasing others but pleasing themselves, as if your weight is a magical number that is inversely proportional to your self-worth?
What's up with girls trying to be super fat. Every day it seems like I say some fat cow chowing down some ludicrously large meal. What's up with all these people that are normal sized and then turn into walking manatees. It's like they don't respect their body and feel that weight is proportional to self worth.</p>
<p>I hope you can see what I'm doing.</p>
<p>hmm...so am too short for a girl, I'm 5 "3"...and do guys like curvy girls like me or do they like the thin frail type
?</p>
