I’m a potential transfer student from CCC. USC is my dream! I want to study business admin real estate finance at marshall or real estate development in sol price school of policy.
Which school accepts a higher percent of applicants? I know this data isn’t available but maybe somebody has an idea. On the USC transfer profile, it says 4% of transfers went into Price, while on the other hand, 26% went into Marshall. However, I’m almost positive Marshall is more competive and receives much more applications so this is a conundrum for me lol
maybe my stats and EC’s are better geared for one of the two schools? Here are my stats if that helps with determining:
- 3.71 cGPA at a California Community College
- Obtained Associates for Transfer in Business Admin, Economics, and Spanish
- A’s in intro to business, accounting 1 & 2, micro econ & macro econ, business law
- B in elementary statistics; A in psychology statistics
- USC marshall Pre-reqs: B in writing; B in Calculus
- Extracurriculars
- President of student government and oversaw the investment of over $20,000 into student organizations
- directed the official college video marketing campaign to increase enrollment
- founded a peer-mentor program for Spanish speaking English learning students
- co-founder of campus-wide mentor-mentee program that is backed by the college foundation
- student host and marketer of school foundation’s podcast.
- Will complete a real estate related internship in NYC before submitting apps
- LOR’s: advisor of student government; college’s director of marketing & public relations; director of college foundation (i have a close relationship with all three of these peopl.); I can get a LOR from a business professor. I excelled and participated in her class and had a final project that she loved; Maybe I can get a LOR from my internship.
- Hispanic male that dropped out of high school and got GED. I bounced back from relatively negative circumstances
Which school should I choose as first major choice to maximize chances of acceptance ? I appreciate any direction.
