So I had a rough semester this spring…got a 2.92. To put it simply there was a car accident with a relative that suffered brain damage, I ended up in the hospital for over a week with the flu, and a few other unfortunate events took place that effected school. I switched my major to psychology and am now doing really well and taking 6 classes (19 credits). If I get a 4.0 this semester and take a few winter classes I should be able to get a 3.55. Issue is, unc, umich and usc are my top choices but have gpa averages of 3.7 for transfers. I’m also volunteering at a crisis hot line (psych major)and am taking honors courses, does anyone think I have a shot at these schools? I know it’s not all about gpa and that admissions are “holistic” but I’m afraid I just won’t have the numbers. Thanks to anyone in advance that answers because the application process is only a few months away
I’m already punching myself because I’m pretty sure I used the wrong “effect” pls ignore
