Is Vassar FinAid Friendly for Returning Students?

Hi! I will be a freshman this fall at Vassar and I'm beyond excited. I was really dependent on finaid to be able to attend this year and had to appeal once to receive a feasible amount. What I'm wondering about is the quality of financial aid given to returning students. It would suck to be able to attend for one year and then have to drop out because of financial circumstances. If it helps at all, both of my parents have received an 8% pay cut so their salaries will be less next year.

As a parent of a fairly recent Vassar alum, I can reassure you that Vassar’s financial aid remains fairly consistent throughout the four years there, though in the last two years you will likely get more Stafford loans than grants.

I second what twinmom said from my own experience there during the last 4 years. Also if your parents make under a certain income level, Vassar will completely cover your student loans.
