Is Wharton harder to get into?

I feel dumb for asking this question, but I couldn’t go to the Penn presentation at my school to ask this. My AP Lit teacher would have had a cow if I ditched her class to go to the Penn presentation. Anyways, is it harder to get into Wharton or the Engineering school or something than the College? Because if it isn’t, I was just going to apply to Wharton then, even though I want to be a doctor. I have no business background though, so I wasn’t sure if this was smart. And also, does Penn track interest? Will they care that I didn’t attend the Penn presentation at my school?

Wharton is definitely harder to get into.
Not sure why you are pursuing an undergrad business school when you know you want to be a doctor.

They won't know that you didn't attend the Penn presentation.

haha he wants to be a rich doctor

It is better if you show as much interest as possible. It wouldn't be really smart to apply to the business school just because its #1 in the field and you know nothing about business. Most kids that get into Wharton usually have business related EC or their essays show how much they know about business.

well, an interest in medicine would work well with a wharton concentration in health care management...

I am trying to be a double major in nursing and wharton

yes...that will also work tenebrousfire. I just didn't assume that the OP was interested in a joint degree program.

try Roy Vagelos Life Sciences and Management, joint degree program

i have no idea what any of those dual degree programs are, but I got that book 'Untangling the Ivy League,' so I know a damm lot about the school now. I'll look up the joint degree programs - it's just that I never thought I'd apply to anything else BESIDES the College. Now that I'm thinking outside the box, there are so many options!

How MUCH harder is it to get into Wharton? The reason why I'm asking is that I'm pretty good at math. I maxed out of math classes at my school last year, so I have all the prereqs Wharton could want in that aspect.

and I'm also a girl. Just so we don't get confused with pronouns here.

OH! and can anyone tell me if I stand any chance to get into Wharton?

OH and I never took any of the business classes at my school.. I always had this choice between taking jazz band or business and you can bet that jazz won out every time. Thanks for any help you can give!

Because you are a girl, you have no advantage to get into Nursing. It would probably go SEAS (engineering) is easier than CAS (college) is easier to get into than Yale is easier to get into than Wharton is easier to get into than a joint degree program. With your stats, you probably would get into SEAS. Then if your grades stay high and you know you don't want to do engineering, you can always transfer to CAS afterwards. However, if you KNOW that you want to be a doctor and have no interest in business or engineering, or anything but premed, apply to CAS and see if you get in.
