I am a Junior this year, and have always wanted to go to Wharton. However, I am beginning to realize just exactly HOW difficult it is to get in.

The University of Pennsylvania would still be my number 1 choice anyway. I am just wondering what the rules were in terms of applying to Wharton Early, and then possibly applying to Penn regular.

Is this possible? Even if I get rejected from the Wharton School, can I still apply to Penn regular?

If you need any stats or anything pl. let me know.

No; the Wharton School is a division of the University of Pennsylvania. On your application, you indicate which undergraduate division you want (College, Wharton, SEAS, or nursing). If you are not accepted to wharton you may NOT apply regular to Penn. That aside, if wharton is what you know you want, I encourage you to apply ED. I was just accepted ED to wharton and believe me September cannot come quickly enough.

antoine, is it true that most wharton kids are like ceos of their own companies or other mad stuff like that? from what i can tell, i havent seen any of those wharton kind of kids on cc yet.

Hey,you young friend just go ahead and apply your confidence and prayers will surely serve you the best.Dont step back for all challenges facing you, you are more stronger than you think you are. Please push forward.

if you're more interested in wharton, you should definitely apply even if you're taking a chance. Heck, you might even get in, and, even if you're not, being rejected from wharton would be better than to be accepted to the college and being unhappy watching all of your friends attend your dream school.

It is always a possibility to transfer from one of the other schools to Wharton. All it takes is a high cumulative GPA freshman year and the courses econ 1 & 2 and math 104.

Econ the toughest in grading? Econ is a joke. Quite seriously, if you can't get a good grade in Econ 1 I highly doubt that Wharton is the best choice for you.

can you do a duo program, like apply to both seas and wharton? I want to major in engineering but I also love business and want to get an mba from wharton. I want to do both undergrad because they both are equally my passion.

Introductory math isn't math 104. Introduction to calculus is math 103. Math 104 is Calculus 1. Besides, in math 103 there are a lot of people who don't put in any work but just hope to get by with their high school math.

And professor Stein's econ class is not on a curve. If everyone scores above 90 then everyone will get A's.

eh i got a B+ in micro but A's and even an A+ in my finance and accounting classes. freshman year is easier than the rest of the years and it's kind of weird because some people do really well and have a harder time adjusting to the harder core classes soph year, some do really poorly and adjust very well to the harder soph classes, some do very well or very poorly both years, and everything in between. some of the people i know who did the best in the soph core classes (which are regarded as fairly hard) did horrible freshman year but made good adjustments.

if you're interested in wharton i'd recommend applying directly instead of going for A&S then applying for wharton later. you need at least a 3.6. while a lot of people get that, a lot don't. personally i think it's easier to get accepted directly at wharton than get acceted at A&S and then get a 3.6 freshman year when you still may be adjusting to everything, espeically if you didn't go to a competitive high school.
