I have been studying extensively for the SAT and have been wondering, how is the writing scored factored (if at all) into your raw score for writing? Is it just something separate from the whole score?

It's part of the raw score and fairly important, unless you get every single grammar question correct, in which case an 8 or 9 would still net you a high 700 and possibly an 800.

It really depends on the curve, but the harsher the curve, the easier the grammar QS.

So if I were to get around a 25 raw score for the multiple choice, and a 10 on the essay, what would my final raw score be?

550 ^
u might wanna take a look at some of the cuves in QAs or the BB for an estimate.

The essay is about 25% of your writing score.
