Am I fine with these scores (will I pass the “cut-off”?):
Reading: 86%
Math Achievement: 99%
Quantitative: 93%
Verbal: 92%
Do keep in mind that I am a Mexican who’s first language is not English; I took the Toefl (I did not have to because the primary language of my education has been English for the past 10 years) and I got a 111/120, which I think is pretty good and might help AO’s to overlook that iffy 86%.
Congratulations on your improvement from the last time you took the SSAT. Yes, I think you have “passed the cut-off.” That said, SSAT scores are but one part of the overall application. But I do want to reiterate some things which I told you the last time:
No reason to keep that in mind. You do not get a pass. Any accepted applicant to these schools is expected to hit the ground running, since the language of instruction is English.
Yes it’s good, but this is an exam where it does not matter how high you score over the threshold. As I said last time, it’s like a drivers’ license; when the cop is giving you a ticket, he won’t care if you passed the driving test with a 100 or with a 70, because you’re still getting the ticket.
Good luck.
