Issuance of decisions by Rutgers ...

Would anyone have a general idea how long Rutgers usually takes to issuance a decision from the time an applicant sends in both the application and the self reporting grades ?
Many thanks.

I went on the Rutgers tour today with my son and they said if you get your application in by 12/1 (thats the deadline for being considered for any scholarships) you would hear from them by the end of Feb at the latest. Hope that helps.

Thanks kansas. Considering the number of applications they usually get, that seems like a pretty good turnaround re : decisions. Good luck.

I’ve heard that Rutgers admissions is rolling, so if you get your app. in early (Sept/Oct) you could feasibly get a response by Nov/Dec. I believe they give you the Feb. date so their admissions office isn’t inundated with calls. Good luck to you!

I know someone who heard before Thanksgiving. This was for the fall of 2007.

My older son heard well before Thanksgiving two years ago. Second son submitted even earlier, but has heard nothing yet. Anyone else hear anything to date?

Maybe they work off a triage system… the quick responses might be decisions that lend themselves to quick admissions ( e.g. SAT score of 1400/1660 ) or denials ( e.g. SAT score of 900/1600 ) …with the slow responses for all the applicants in the middle who need closer review. Then again, maybe there is not method to the “madness”.
