No mail from Princeton on the second day, which means a rejection or waitlist.

Plus, after a lot of thought since ED, I've begun to lean towards Harvard anyway (I've told some of you about this already). I can honestly say -- and I'm not just being bitter or anything of the sort -- that there are many things about Harvard that I've really come to appreciate in the last few months, and there are things about Princeton that no longer appeal to me. I'm not so sure that I would chose Princeton even IF an acceptance comes on Monday. (Extremely, extremely unlikely.)

I can also honestly say that one of the things I'll miss most about attending Princeton is spending time with the extraordinary people I've met on the Princeton CC board, as cheesy as that might sound. You actually made this process more fun (and certainly more dramatic, lol). =)

I'll see you at the Harvard-Princeton games, I guess. Just no pranks, okay? ;)

bye!! check out prefrosh.net if you haven't already :D

it never actually occured to me that our little CC groupie--all the HYPSM board folks--would actually depart...but we are, slowly but surely, each going our seperate ways...

Chances are, at that football game. you'll be sitting on the winner's side of the field! (Harvard has now beaten Princeton for nine straight years.)

So wait.... that means that, if I didn't hear anything from Princeton today or yesterday, you guys are certain that I was rejecteD??/???????

REALLY????? PLEASE SAY NO!!!!!
[/quote]
Don't worry about it... this thread is just people jumping to conclusions. Priority mail is 2-3 days.

Vivaldi.. sorry to hear about your waitlist, though that is in-itself quite an impressive feat. Now, if you wouldn't mind, tell us about your envelope!! :)

Standard size envelope. It wasn't lacking for company - the official Harvard waitlist letter came with it. :)

And as for the contents, the letter told me to return the enclosed reply card to let them know if I wanted to remain on the waitlist, but the envelope held no such card. Haha. :)

The more I think about it, the better I feel about not having taken someone's place who really wanted to go to Princeton. I could see myself there, but not over Yale.

On the plus side, Kebree ...

Exactly. =)
And if one of you so much as thinks of trying to hand out red and white construction paper during said game.....

Haha, I just got my waitlist letter from Princeton. I guess we were just meant to be rivals, Kebree...

It certainly seems that way...and no reply card? Lol. I guess they think they might need to keep their waitlisted applicants on the waitlist, what with all of the acceptees they'll lose to our two fine institutions. ;)jk

Kebree- im the reverse of you lol. i applied to harvard early, but since then ive come to really like princeton. accepted at princeton, rejected from harvard. i think adcoms know whats good for us lol.

Hahahahahaha....

Yes, Byerly did point out that Princeton's anticipated yield this year is lower than Harvard's and Yale's - not surprisingly, H and Y are at the top. ;)

We're going to have a lot of fun with this...(jk too)
