It can't be that hard.....

I mean AP euro. Is it really that hard?

I've heard stories of the class raping people.

Yeah it is EXTREMELY hard well at least mine is. Also the course work is hard to Europe has way to much history lol but foreal its a lot of hard work if you want to take the AP exam

It really depends a lot on the teacher, when I took it the guy I had was pretty lenient and gave lots of chances for extra credit. I’d specifically ask people from your school about the difficulty of the tests and homework because it’s pretty hard for anyone on here to say.

Oh cause, i heard it was killer. How hard is the AP exam and is it harder than World history/APUSH?

The textbook for Euro SUCKS so incredibly hard. If you have a teacher that conducts class as a discussion, rather than lecturing and telling you the info, the class is going to be much harder for you because then you’ll have to try to learn from the textbook.
AP US is miles easier. Honestly I never picked up a textbook or review book, and I got an unweighted 99 as my overall grade, and breezed through the exam and got a 5.
Not sure about World History, but I’ve heard that that class’s easy too.

AP Euro is relatively difficult at my school. White people loveeee to record minute details about their conflicts with other white people.

Lol :)

And it’s my easiest AP class by far…really just depends

Yeah. Lot harder than my AP US course.

Then again… We’re actually learning something this year.

But you gotta remember… There’s a LOT of history to cover. AP US covers like 400 years of history in ONE country. There’s only been a few governments since its inception.

Then you look at AP Euro. It covers almost 600 years of history in 50 countries. I don’t want to even think about how many governments its gone through.

And then you want to talk about wars? The US largely remained neutral up until the 20th century and therefore only had a few wars here and there. In Europe? There was ALWAYS someone at war with someone else.

AP Euro just has a lot more material. That being said, you don’t have to go in depth nearly as much in AP Euro and the DBQ is easier. =/

At my school, AP Euro is a sophomore class and is not too difficult. AP U.S. History is a junior/senior level class and is extremely hard (hardest class in our social studies department).

Lol nice, OP. I see what you did.

Also this

is offensive.

I actually thought it was a fun class, definitely my favorite that I’ve taken at the high school… a pretty unpopular opinion among my friends, though.

It’s a fun class, but it’s pretty damn hard. Including the AP test. Prepare to analyze and examine like you’ve never analyzed and examined before.

I had a crap teacher who assigned BS work throughout the year. I spent a month studying my ass off (and in reality, I began to really enjoy European history, especially 20th century). I think that if you have the right books and do enough practice, your MC and DBQ scores should carry you to a good score even if you screw up your FRQ.

My friend took AP Euro this year and whenever I’m around him he’s complaining about it.

I’d NEVER take it.

Idk, my brother is a sophomore and is in it and has an A. This was the first year they offered it for sophomores. I think it depends on the teacher.

True, you have a point.

AP Euro? Let’s just say I’m glad that the #2 and #3 ranked people in my grade are taking this class, because it’s going to drag down their GPAs and safely secure my #1 position. :)

^^^I thought about that as well but the teacher my brother has i also currently have for a different class. And she was saying she wasnt lowering the standards just for the younger kids. She was at a meeting and they were talking about almost forcing regular kids into AP classes and she was saying that she didnt care who the put in her classes she wasnt going to make the class work easier.

She seems pretty …what’s the word for it?..ah yes, female dogish (if you know what i mean)
