is information technology good?
good $?

ladder to advance?

planning on majoring in IST and going to grad for management information systems.... 100 k + possible?

If you are an IT manager--which takes quite a bit of expertise/experience, then you will make a lot (150-250K likely), especially for large corps.

^that's hard to get, but with a degree in IT you could make around 50,000 with a degree from a decent place.

I suggest, you get an IT degree from a good school and move to India. You will be making good money and quickly move up the ladder if you obtain a degree from a respectable school, CMU for instance. The scope for IT is very big in India and opportunities are endless.

LMAO that is true yet funny how us americans always try to take advantage of Indians when it comes to IT.

yeah, the managers at my IT company all make very good money, but I intern in the administrative office so they all are the upper level management people.

Yeah I checked the salary range at most average schools in the US and they definitely make around $50,000 out of undergrad.
