It's almost 3 am...

I'm only 18 years old and I don't have too much experience battling reality. But, I can't help but feel concerned about my generation. We're idiots - well, the majority of us. I mean one look at my twitter timeline or facebook timeline and I see quite possibly the most stupidest concerns ever. Teenagers are so one dimensional these days. We have kids who don't know anything passed the confines of a textbook and others whose biggest concern is what their ex's are up to. Seriously? Where is the depth? Why is everyone so one-dimensional? It seems as though a great majority of us just go on with life without giving anything genuine thought. We accept reality as concrete. It isn't. It's rather transparent with layers that as a race, we have a duty to peel. I manage to have a 4.0, play sports, genuinely strive to be an intellectual, and yet, party every weekend. It just baffles me that individuals use to have such depth. Where is that now? If we're so forward thinking, why does it seem like most teens are more so concerned with idiotic trivialities rather then a genuine awareness of humanity?

Sorry, I really don't know what to call this post. It's almost 3 am and I hope fellow teens, parents, or whoever is out there will understand my perspective. It's high time we became more cultured and multifarious, as a generation.
