:) too bad i won't be here when you guys come in. but i'm flying home tomorrow, and i couldn't be happier. good luck with Beast everyone

I'm afraid I won't be there either...heading to Ohio, of all places. :P

Best of luck, have fun everyone! :-D

Hey now, there's nothing wrong with Ohio!

As long as you stay in Cleveland, Columbus, or Cincinnati, that is. God help you if you venture outside of those areas! :)

Exactly my point. Dayton. Although that ain't that far away from the "good areas" you mentioned... :)

Ah kids, no more internet to answer your hefty load of questions when in need. But you will figure it out, most of you have what you need to succeed. Most of you are better informed than your 2010 counterparts on here. 5 days, I rode past the yellow feet waiting for you this morning. It will be a journey, but as you have said, you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. REMEMBER THIS! It will be tough, but man is it worth it. 5 days, keep truckin'.

Exciting! You can do it! Come back and tell us high schoolers how you survived ;)

Well, I know I speak for all of us when I say thank you to hornetguy, eagle36, raimus, guy4christ, uncyclical, and anyone else that I've forgotten who's helped us over these last few months. Have a good summer guys (in case any of you happen to come back here and see this) :)

Yes, thank you so much for your help! And have a blast this summer!

yeah, G4C is coming to my home-ish area. i am in OH now, and life is great. good luck again

Kos, you need to hook us up with rides...we found out we can't use GOVs...kinda stinks.

Anyways, don't forget us once you're back out, 11!

This will be my last post until August, too. Thanks again to the current 3 digs for all the help and info. See you on thursday, my fellow 2011s! 2012s, keep working hard and it'll be here before you know it. Best of luck to everyone. :)

I'll be here to see you guys get here! Well, kinda, got my first jump the day you get here so I won't be back until 4:30ish, but have no fear, things will still be going on for a while yet at that time. Good luck everyone, and to those of you who find out you are in Demons A Flight, I'll see you in August!

Interceptors C Flight...see you when the year starts. :)

Class of '11...
The step you all will be taking in a matter of a few short days will be the beginning of a very fulfilling journey. Throughout it all, just keep a positive attitude and understand the importance of teamwork. There are so many awesome opportunities that stand before every single one of you. I'll tell you up front that BCT and USAFA in general will not always be "happy" experiences, but when you toss your hat in a few years, it'll all be worth it. In the past year since I graduated, I've had more amazing experiences and worked with more incredible people than I ever could have imagined.

I wish you the very best in BCT and beyond.

3 days.
Somewhere buried in the AOG site is the conversion from our summer training flights to our academic year squadrons.

Good Luck!

When is the first day that we are allowed to have pictures in our rooms? August 4th/5th? Would I be better off having my parents mail my pictures to me, or keeping them in the bag that goes to storage? Also, Could you please give an example of what would be appropriate for the 2 memorabilia items? (2 days...so nervous)

You will be allowed pictures after Acceptance Day. I would recommend having your parents send them to you; while it is rare, the bags that you bring to BCT have been known to get lost. In your cadet room (after Acceptance, of course), you will be allowed to put pictures on your bulletin board behind yor desk, and this does not count against your items of memorabilia. If you have a framed picture on your desk instead, this would count as an item. Models, figurines, and other random nicknacks comprise the items in a cadet's room. The specifics of these items really vary from person to person.

Yeah, are stuffed animals appropriate?

Technically, yes, you could display a stuffed animal.
