IU Early Action Acceptances - Class of 2025

@lvl1992 We are thankful and relieved she received this without test scores. She kept registering but tests have been repeatedly canceled in our area.

He does, but that score was earned on the 10/27 test, so they didn’t get the score until the end of November. Kelley makes a big show of saying “all materials must be submitted by November 1 for consideration…” so not sure if they will use that score or his other one, which was just below the cutoff. Just trying to figure out what is going on b/c we would like to submit the petition by the 1/4 priority deadline. He is reaching out to his admission officer tomorrow to ask.

Applied: 10/31
Accepted: 12/22
GPA: 4.5
ACT: 33

Super pumped! Just waiting for that Kelley notification.

those who got accepted today, did you receive a notification through email or did you check your portal?

Checked the portal directly.

Oh okay, I am still waiting on mine… I applied on 10/20… my only guess is that since I applied as a DA to Kelley, I still haven’t received mine. Lets hope it comes by today, cause they go on a break after today i believe

My D21 received $10K/year OOS. 4.0 UW 33 ACT. Biology major. Also admitted later to Hutton Honors (without applying).

@16Defender

GPA is 3.9 UW & 4.4 W

In Massachusetts. Accepted to state flagship where in-state tuition is $30k / year.

Getting EA merit w/o test scores has been a huge relief.

Turns out test scores are just one piece of the story of our seniors.

DS20 is a freshman at UMass Amherst and DS22 plans to apply to IU. Curious which your DD is leaning towards. We are in CT and neither interested in UConn.

@CTCape she’s heard great things from current students @ IU and Umass.

She’s trying to figure out which of those offer the best path for her. (Accepted to 10 schools, waiting on 5 more)

IU has offered honors; Umass has not.

She’s a Communications major with interest in business or marketing minor.

Also admitted to Penn State Bellisario School of Comms. Waiting on UConn.

@1Cricket - CAn you please tell me when the $10K/yr was offered? is it the Deans scholarship? We got the admission last week but no news of any OOS scholarships.

how long did it take to hear back from kelley after your acceptance? I got in to IU on 12/15, with a 1530 3.75 uw oos.

well I didn’t wait for a decision from Kelley because I knew I was not eligible so I went straight to petition and I got an acceptance email like 2 weeks after

@BHPbound the merit comes in the physical letter they send. My sons was about 3 weeks after his portal changed. The PO is a mess right now.

My son got his Kelly email about 2 weeks later.

@BHPbound - she was notified of acceptance electronically on 10/14 and the Dean’s Scholarship letter was dated 10/23. I still have the big red envelope and that is dated 10/26 so we probably received it a few days after that. So - it was at least 2 weeks before we found out about $. I would expect extra delays with the holidays! Hopefully you will receive good news early in 2021!!
