IU Early Action Acceptances - Class of 2025

When you get your physical package from IU (the red envelope) the initial merit award is in the letter.

The only scholarship that we currently know about is the one the IU sent us via snail mail. For some reason IU is not letting anyone access the financial aid tab on OneIu. This has not been the case in past years.

Does anyone know more info or personal experience with the ASURE program? I was invited to apply for it but I don’t know a lot about it.

@James1963, thank you. I’m not sure my son received his physical letter from IU, but we were traveling when he got the email of acceptance (on Christmas). When did your letter come in the mail?

He applied on 10-28, acceptance on 11-19 and then he received his packet from IU with his Provost Scholarship the day before Thanksgiving.

@James1963, Thank you. I’ll have my son reach out to admissions to see if they can share his award electronically. I can’t imagine it would take the USPS four weeks, even with everything going on.

I work at the USPS:joy::joy::joy:Sadly it could.

My son was accepted 12/22 and we still haven’t received physical package. However, he got a scholarship email last week, so 3 wks after acceptance.

My son is a DA to the media school. He is out-of-state and received a Dean’s scholarship of $8000/year for 4 years. He then received an email saying he is a DA to Hutton Honors College and to complete the SSA. If he receives any scholarships from the Honors College, will that be in addition to the Dean’s Scholarship? Also, do any of these scholarships make out-of-state students eligible for in-state tuition?

Yes it will be in addition to the Dean’s Scholarship, and no, it will not make you eligible for in state tuition. You establish your residency when you apply to IU. If IU could have mostly OOS students it surely would.

My daughter received her acceptance email on 12/17 but didn’t get the crimson envelope until 1/13. The letter was dated 1/7…so hang in there!

When did people receive financial aid packages ? Or have that not been sent out yet?

Still no financial aid package

Next month

Thanks

Hey guys, So I received my acceptance on 1/8 and received a Deans Scholarship on 1/17 of 9000/year. I have a 1480 on the SAT and a 37/42 in the IBDP, applied for DA, without petition. By when do you think I can expect to receive my Kelley admissions offer?

And he’ll be in the honors college if he wants even if you don’t complete the SSA (which requires additional essay and recommendations)

My son applied 11/1, accepted pre-business 12/24. I was poking in the portal and saw his acceptance before the email was actually sent a few days later. Petition to Kelley was accepted and confirmed. The follow up email says they will give him an answer by February first. A-will he hear either way about his acceptance to Kelley? B-I do not think he sent additional letters of rec outside of the two he sent originally with his application. I went through this 9 years ago with my daughter and it’s so stressful! Thanks in advance!

My son received a snail mail letter regarding Merit - where is the scholarship portal? He is my 3rd to go to college and I find the IU portal difficult to navigate!

Log in and search “scholarships”

Thanks for your reply - so I did that and there is nothing there. It has a scholarship application. I was hoping to see where his merit aid is listed. We also have not received a packet from IU. Portal updated, an email and a letter from The Media School but no admissions packet.
