Check out 2nd or 3rd page of "Class of 2011 from Nepal...lets discuss here" Thread.
To know my pathetic SAT1 score try searching in the "average student club" thread in CC cafe and for my so so SAT2 scores look around intel SAT score thread. :p

From El Paso, TX USA... no way... a Southwest flight to NYC (Southwest is by far the cheapest airline) runs at least $400-500 and from there a flight to Germany will be over $1000... And 1200EUR is about 1500USD so no I am dead serious...

[/quote]

First, congrats on getting admitted! :)

Second: What you wrote about airfares is nonsense! I went from Germany to US (east coast) and back, in about 360 Euros = $400, in peak holiday season (Dec-Jan), buying tickets about 6 weeks in advance. Search around, the max cost will be $500 or 600 return fare from a major east cost airport (JFK, Logan etc.) One-way will be even cheaper perhaps.

Also if you are going to be living away from home, learn to not give up before you have exhausted every possibility to save money and still live comfortably. I am probably the guy Abhi08544 was talkin about who managed a whole year within 1200 euros, with a trip home AND a trip to the US. It's possible. Though I would say 2000 euros is a more realistic sum.

mercuury:Ya, i was talking about you:) Btw, is (cheap)vegan food available in Bermen?

Guys...what about the financial aid pacakge?...has anyone heard any thing yet?

Hey Porkey, how much did you get on the ACT?
I should take the ACT now on February 10, and I haven't studied at all..

I just realized, it's bremen not berman:eek: berman is the name of my calculus problem book:)

For ACT sparknotes is sufficient, keep track on time for Science and Reading.

Till now i still haven't got ma ACT score report so, no idea. I gave the exam after reviewing two sample free tests for 2 days and totally bombed it (reading and science) due to timing constraint.

But now I don care much abt it since I’ve already been accepted by at least one college lol.

Another question... If you want to go to graduate school...(Oxford for me)... will you have all the credits you need or will you have to take a bunch of other credits when you get there????

My dad will not stop talking about the "mobility of my degree" and how Bremen won't let me go anywhere.... please someone help me!!!

And the ACT is easier than the SAT.. at least I think.. and I took the ACT 5 times and the SAT 4 times....

As far as I know u won't have any prob. with credits.

Ya ACT is comparatively easier than SAT1 but for slow readers like me it isn't (especially Reading and Science).

Porkey...so no one else from nepal?

Hey relax, no one has to take intersession courses except for some Bio lab people for whom the labs start about a week or two earlier (mid-to-late January). You can spend the entire intersession away from IUB.

Thanks again!!!!
